About the brand
Louis Vuitton opened his trunk-making workshop in Paris in 1854, known for flat-topped trunks that stacked easily for travel. In 1896 his son Georges created the Monogram canvas, with the LV initials and flower motifs the house still uses. Today Louis Vuitton is part of LVMH; Nicolas Ghesquière designs the women's collections and Pharrell Williams the men's.
