adidas was founded by Adi Dassler in Herzogenaurach, Germany, in 1949. Its Originals line, marked by the trefoil logo introduced in the early 1970s, keeps the brand's archive of classic trainers such as the Samba, Gazelle and BW Army in production.
adidas Originals is the brand's heritage line: low, slim trainers in suede and leather with gum soles, worn as easily with tailoring as with denim. The three stripes and the trefoil carry decades of sport history.
