About the brand
Kihachiro Onitsuka started making sports shoes in Kobe in 1949. In 1977 his company merged with two others to form ASICS, and in 2002 Onitsuka Tiger returned as a fashion label built on archive models such as the Mexico 66, whose stripes first appeared in 1966.
